Notice Regarding Travels To Turkey

The authorities of Turkey inform:

-As of 30 December 2020 persons above the age of 6 years, who are entering Turkey by air transport, are required to have a negative result of PCR test for SARS-CoV-2, performed in the last seventy two (72) hours; persons, who do not present the negative PCR test result, will not be allowed to board a plane to Turkey;

- Passengers arriving by land and sea, will have their negative PCR test results checked at entry points;

-Persons, who do not submit the negative PCR test result to the official authorities during entry at the border Gates, will be quarantined at the address they declared to stay (house, hotel, etc.); and those, who declare that they do not have a place to stay, will be quarantined at the locations to be determined by the Provincial Health Directorates;

-These persons will be tested with PCR test on the 7th day of the their quarantine, and if their PCR test result is negative, their quarantine will finish at the end of the 7th day; and for persons whose result of PCR test is positive, their treatment will be carried out in accordance with the Ministry of Health COVID-19 guidelines;

-Regarding tracking of people who are under quarantine, at the border gates they will be required to fill in the form "COVID-19 Patient / Contact Monitoring (Quarantine) Information and Consent Form", these forms will be kept for 30 days and their contact information will be immediately recorded in the Public Health Management System (HSYS);

-Data on passengers and vehicles, arriving to Turkey from abroad, will be recorded in the information system of the General Directorate of Border and Coastal Health (interaktif.hssgm).

-As in previous requirements, aircraft crew and truck drivers are not required to have PCR tests; also seafarers are not required to have PCR test, as they are assessed as ‘key personnel’ by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the World Health Organization and also assessed as ‘key personnel’ in the circular by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey.

These requirements will continue until April 14, 2021.
