No: 233, 6 October 2020, Press Release Regarding The Establishment Of The Government In Mali
Turkey is following the developments in friendly and brotherly Mali closely, as confirmed by the recent visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs to this country.
The Transitional Government has been established on 5th October by the decree of the Malian interim Head of State, Mr. Bah N’Daw.
Following the appointment of a civilian Head of State and Prime Minister to administer the transitional period, we hope that with the establishment of the Transitional Government, the necessary steps will be taken quickly to restore the constitutional order and overcome the extremely difficult challenges facing the country. The efforts of UN, ECOWAS and African Union to move the process in Mali on a positive course are appreciated in this regard.
Turkey will continue to stand by friendly and brotherly Mali in this process.
