Recommendations Of The Lithuanian Ministry Of Health For Travelers To Lithuania
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE PREVENTION OF THE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS TO TRAVELERS HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED (2020/07/07)
The Ministry of Health (SAM), in view of the unfavorable situation of the spread of coronavirus infection in some countries of the world, urges travelers to take the necessary precautions and follow the recommendations of specialists.
Coronavirus infection, like otherinfectious diseases, is characterized by an incubation period, which means that even if a person feels well, it does not mean that he is not infected at that time. The incubation period for coronavirus is about 14 days, so when returning (or transiting) from countries where the incidence exceeds 25 cases per 100 thousand population, isolation is required for two weeks. Returning from those countries with a lower incidence - 15 cases per 100 thousand population, isolation is recommended.
Those returning from affected countries where the incidence exceeds 25 cases per 100 thousand residents must register with the National Public Health Center under the Ministry of Health (hereinafter - NVSC) within 24 hours by filling in an electronic form on the NVSC website: https://keleiviams.nvsc.lt/lt/form. In addition, the temperature will be measured at the Lithuanian border crossing point (by air or in your port, or by road when crossing the external border of the European Union). When symptoms of a coronavirus infection are detected, such travelers will be separated from other people, an ambulance will be called and they will be taken to a medical facility.
For people from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Djibouti, Egypt, Ghana, India, the United Kingdom, Monaco, Nepal, the Virgin Islands, Romania, Swaziland and Turkey, where the incidence is slightly lower, experts recommend isolating yourself and keeping a safe distance from other people, wear personal protective equipment if accessible. They also need to monitor their health. If you develop symptoms of COVID-19 (fever (above 37.3 degrees), cough, difficulty breathing, sudden loss of taste or smell or weakening), they should immediately call the Coronavirus Hotline on 1808, report the circumstances of the illness and tell that they were abroad for a period of 14 days) and to follow medical advice.
Isolation from countries not considered affected does not require re-isolation, but general measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection are recommended.SAM specialists point out that non-compliance with the established measures and requirements for the prevention of the spread of infection is subject to administrative or even criminal liability.
