My dear friend Viktoras Pranckietis,

On behalf of the Turkish nation, the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and myself, I congratulate you, honorable members of your Parliament and friendly Lithuanian people on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Lithuanian Parliament Seimas and extend my best wishes. As the Assemblies of both friendly nations mark their 100th anniversary this year, I believe that our hearts are always together, even though we cannot celebrate together and as enthusiastic as we wish because of the pandemic we are facing.

On this occasion, I would like to express my condolences to the relatives of those who lost their lives due to the pandemic, and I wish the patients urgent healing. I would like to express that Turkey is ready to provide material and moral support for our Lithuanian friends.

We know that Seimas played the most important role in the construction of Lithuania, both from its foundation 100 years ago and after its regained independence. I am convinced that in our world, that will be reshaped after Corona, with its historical experience, Seimas will greatly contribute to strengthening international peace, democracy, human rights and the rule of law; but most importantly, that every individual on earth will show the will to attain a humanely livable world.
